Using the form

We process the name, email address and mobile number you enter, requested amount and repayment term, and answers about consolidation and payment defaults. The purpose is to perform the requested partner check and show the next step. This is not a loan application or loan approval.

The partner check relies on your consent at submission under GDPR Article 6(1)(a). You may read the website without submitting the form. The requested fields and confirmation are needed to use the check. You may withdraw consent by contacting us; this does not affect the lawfulness of previous processing.

Recipients and the next step

Finansvalg sends pseudonymised matching values of your email address and mobile number, together with your IP address, requested amount, repayment term and collection-page address to our partner for the requested check. Matching values remain personal data; they are not anonymous. Your name and payment-default answer are not sent in this partner check. If you report payment defaults, this partner check is skipped.

The response determines the next step automatically. After a positive partner check, you can continue on the partner’s website. Otherwise, we show an overview of alternatives. Finansvalg does not provide loans or make credit decisions. Contact us if you have questions about the next step.

When you follow a commercial link, the partner can identify Finansvalg as the referring website. We do not add your form fields to the link. The partner processes visit information and any details you enter on its website under its own privacy notice. The partner’s privacy information is available on its website. If you continue after a positive check, the partner’s name is shown before you leave Finansvalg. Its own privacy information applies to details you provide on its website. A commercial partner link does not mean that every partner receives information from your form.

Retention at Finansvalg

Contact details are used during submission. They are not stored as readable fields in the result register. Email marketing requires a separate optional consent, as described below. The result register stores a random reference, verification hashes, consent version, timestamps, partner outcome and selected redirect address. This prevents duplicate submissions and supports the next step. Access expires after one hour. Scheduled cleanup removes expired entries; actual deletion depends on the job running.

Operation and security

We use hosting, data-storage, network-delivery and security providers to operate and protect the website. Providers process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, timestamps and requests. Necessary operation and security rely on our legitimate interests in delivering the service and preventing abuse under GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

Operational logs and backups are separate from the result register and are not covered by the one-hour expiry. Retention depends on troubleshooting, security incidents and recovery needs, together with providers' contractual retention arrangements. Global provider networks may involve processing outside the EEA. Contact [email protected] for information about provider agreements, specific retention periods and the transfer safeguards applicable to your information.

Cookies and marketing

Necessary browser storage supports sessions, language choices and security. Optional analytics and advertising measurement require separate consent in the cookie panel, which identifies configured providers and purposes. Google Analytics uses analytics consent; Meta, Google Ads and TikTok use marketing consent. With consent, providers may receive visit information and identifiers. Form fields and partner outcomes are not sent as tracking events. First-party link events expire after seven days and are removed by scheduled cleanup. The partner check does not subscribe you to marketing. Email marketing requires the separate optional checkbox. We do not subscribe you to SMS or telephone marketing.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion and restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and request portability where applicable. You may withdraw optional consent. Contact [email protected]; do not email national identity numbers, BankID codes or sensitive documents. You may complain to Norway's Datatilsynet or Finland's Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman. For further processing by a partner, you may also contact the partner directly.

Campaign information in partner links

With your marketing consent, we may add campaign codes and an advertising click identifier, or a randomly generated click reference to the link when you continue to a partner. This helps attribute the visit to a campaign. We do not add your contact details or other form fields to the link. Campaign codes are held encrypted in your session for up to 30 minutes. You can withdraw consent in cookie settings before continuing. The partner’s privacy information applies to its subsequent processing.

Optional email marketing

Only if you select the separate email checkbox, Finansvalg (Vauras Invest Inc.) stores your email address encrypted, together with the consent wording, language and time. The purpose is news and marketing about loans and refinancing, based on your consent. We do not add your phone number, loan details or payment-default answer to this list. You can use the form without subscribing. We retain the email address for up to three years from your latest opt-in, or until you withdraw consent, whichever comes first. You can unsubscribe using the email-preferences link shown after subscribing, a link in each marketing email, or by contacting us. On withdrawal, the email address is removed from the active record; a keyed matching value and consent record remain until the original three-year deadline to document your choice. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully performed. Email consent is separate from cookie choices and does not authorise SMS or telephone marketing.

Managing your enquiry

We use HighLevel as a customer-management service for Finansvalg. When you submit the form, we transfer your name, readable email address and phone number, requested amount and term, consolidation choice, payment-remarks answer, language and consent choices to our CRM to manage your enquiry. This is separate from the partner check and does not authorise marketing. Email marketing requires your separate opt-in. Delivery data is encrypted temporarily on our system for retries, for up to 24 hours, and removed after successful delivery or a final failure. Delivery status records without contact fields are retained for up to 30 days. You can contact us about access, deletion or withdrawal of consent.
